Twinkardink

Hi,

My twin sister and I started Twinkardink 10 years ago. We were in Jr. High, but I was in the hospital mostly. I have a rare kidney disease that used to be called MPGN type 2 for membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis type 2. Luckily that was changed in 2006 to Dense Deposit Disease.

Since I was in the hospital quite a bit for problems related to dialysis ( I have been on dialysis since I was 7 years old) my mom had to write lots of excuse -my -absence notes. She began to use Jess and my artwork for the card design. The teachers saw it and wanted cards, then more and more people began to buy them. We started our little business ( Twin card, inc which became twinkardink)and have raised thousands of dollars. All of that goes to research on Dense Deposit Disease. There is a foundation that our parents started to get research on DDD started, called Kidneeds. You can visit at www.medicine.uiowa.edu/kidneeds

You can also see a clip on a fundraiser and what we are doing at Kidneeds by going to

Life can throw you some curve balls but you have to make the most of all you have been given. We believe in doing all you can today to make the world a bit better place.

Cheers,
Jenna
